As my first year at university draws to a close, the sun warms up the city and the flowers make their appearance, I am beginning to count down the days until my last exam is over, and I can pack up my belongings into eight boxes and a suitcase, and set off to explore some pretty places this summer. As much as I'm looking forward to this, I won't be disappointed to return in the autumn to the wonderful city that I have been calling home for the past year. As it warms up and the days become sunnier and prettier, I have been doing more and more exploring right here in Bristol, and taking more and more photos.
If you've never been to Bristol, here are a few pictures that will convince you to come visit. As for those of us that live here, the @IgersBristol Instagram account, which is hash-tagged dozens of times a day, is proof that we enjoy the nostalgia of honest photographs that capture our colourful city every bit as much as the distant wanderluster.

I will be posting a lot more about Bristol in the near future: I'm currently working on my first city guide article that will showcase the diverse neighbourhoods that make this place so unique. Until then, if you'd like to see some more photos of Bristol, check out my Instagram @ClubofExplorers
